At the AKI Festival at University Enschede (Netherlands) we did a 3 day machine instrument and interface building workshop from 27-29 april 2004.

We invited the AKI students to select a public location at the university campus and to develop a installation for that spot. We worked  on the special characteristics and needs of this location. The students selected a big three at a centrals meeting place and build a glass sound organ triggered by wind that controlled a set of sound machines.

The project SALE AWAY was commisioned by the EMAF - European Media Art Festival, Osnabrueck
and shown there 21. April - 23. May 2004.

“I went several times along at your installation and I’am always surprised to see that the installation reaches/attracts very different people. Kids, people returning from shopping- opening the fridge, people returning to the installation to show it to their friends, etc. Typical communication: 1)person: What is this? 2)person: This is art. This installation was a later later version of the Avantilator project for Avanto festival 2003. It was shown at the )toon)festival in Haarlem, 16. - 18. of April 2004.
